There are no known problems with this feature.
Can you please be more specific?
How did you configure the events?

very simple:

Windows XP Pro,
FTP server runnung as service,
Events:

first tried:
user logged in - c:\event.bat - not working

then:
client connected - c:\event.bat - not working

then:
file successfuly uploaded - c:\event.bat - not working

Then I did it all again with: c:\windows\notepad.exe - not working.

I stoped and started the service - not working
I restart the machine - not working.

The events just not fire up.

I'm sorry batch files can not be used with the events feature.
Internally the server uses the Windows ShellExecute API, which does not support batch files. You can only use events to trigger executable files.

Also note that a service does not have access to the desktop, so you can't launch GUI applications (like notepad). The GUI version of the server does support this, because it runs at the desktop.

The event feature was designed to execute external applications which, for example, store something in a database or send an email using a commandline tool.

Update:
It turns out for the service version you will have to check the "allow service to interact with desktop" option.

Hi,

As we discuss events, I note that:

"Client Connected" - fires when there is an ftp connection

"User logged in" - fires when the user send username - and before password.

The most important event - "User successfully logged" - is missing.

I will explain: I wish to run an application after user is login (user and password) and to pass the name of the user as argument to the application - but only after correct password.

We will take your suggestion into consideration, but please note that implementing new features can take some time, so I can't promise it will be available in the near future.
However you can also purchase the source code and make the modification yourself if you need in sooner.

Any news with the new event feature?

Doesn't seems to be hard to implement.

I'm sorry we are currently very busy with other projects.
Hopefully we can reserve some time for this in the near future.
