Hello. I would like to know if Quick 'n Easy FTP Server, alerts users sending a message, a txt file warning that his quota is ending. Exemple when quota is reached to 80%, create a TXT file on his account to warn the client.

Is it possible?

Regards,
Daniel

The FTP protocol does not have an option to send message to the client.
All commands are send from the client to the server.

That would probably be possible, but it's not a standard FTP feature.

If you would like to implement this feature yourself then the source is available for purchase.
You can also use events to start external application or scripts.

Hello... so if I'm using quotas it is interessing the clients to know how much space left to them... is possible?

Is possible to use quick ftp server + quick mail server to send an e-mail to the client warning about the quota is running out?

Regards

Hi jdn76,

This situation is not like a coin with two side.
The easiest solution is to have 3rd party tool to check xml file for the particular user. The rest is up to your imagination. Present in to the web site or sent some customized mail message.

Regards,
