Start on Windows Start Up doesn't work - Server 2008

Post by simon » Mon Oct 15, 2012 12:03 pm

We have a customer with version 2.7.4 of the Quick 'n' Easy FTP Server software on their SBS 2008 server.

It is set to "Run at Windows Startup", but it actually doesn't run until the administrator logs in. Therefore, if Windows Updates reboots the server overnight / weekend, etc, it stops users being able to access data via FTP until the administrator account logs in to the server.

It used to be fine in SBS 2003.

Please can you advise?

Kind Regards,

The standard version does not run unless you login to Windows. That is true for all GUI based applciations. You need the 'service' version for that.
